The only thing I loved was when he asked her to bed as a husband would ask his wife after a truly shitty day, until she started talking about John. Pax you are right it was nothing but a plot point which had no place at all in that scene, just off. I loved that DoD interview but I still want more especially on screen not in interviews.

For me, the scenes were just plot advancement, unlike last week's EJole scenes which were about emotional searching. I actually thought the worst part about the scenes was Nicole's criticisms of John, which were seriously WTF. I know they lamely tried to have Nicole say "I know I've done some bad things but John is different." I mean, EJ is a selfish prick and I don't think he ever so far has really understood what love is. He would always say it about Sami while treating her like dogshit, he said it about Taylor for no reason--I need to see EJ ACTING like he understands what love is before he says it. And like I say about plot points, that was all it was: Nicole spills her "revelation," EJ realizes he's got a problem and says but she made him sign divorce papers, they go see Johnny as a lame excuse to put EShami in the same room so they can make an appointment to discuss their mistake later AND so that EJ can show that now things have changed and he has some power back so he can come see his children any time he wants, return to DiMansion where EJ is clearly in a much better and more focused mood until Nicole starts rambling on about John in order to have an excuse to talk about lies, betrayal and fresh starts. It was lame writing, but it was what it was. It wasn't meant to be something deep, it was meant to show that Nicole thinks they're starting from a place of honesty and EJ has to decide whether to tell her or not. From his perspective I can see why keeping it secret isn't a bad idea--sex so gross that he cried about it and that he doesn't intend to repeat and that happened after she had dumped him doesn't count. Again, EJ is selfish and he's secretive. It has nothing to do with being in love with Sami, a point JS reinforced in the DOD interview. Thanks Pax. As long as Ej is in love with Nicole and doesn't start wanting Sami then I think I can live with this.

I think when Nicole brought up John it was still about Ejole. She said that she hated people who lied and betrayed the people they loved and that's exactly what EJ was doing to Nicole. You coulld see the look of guilt on his face when she said it and I think it played a part in him not telling her the truth.

It was to drive home that whole fresh start/no lies/clean slate and EJ's inability to capitalise and tell her everything because he is afraid she will be hurt enough to finally walk out of his life for good.

To truly understand EJ, as Nic assured Brady she did, is to know he's a screw up. Hopefully, deep down she is prepared for this. Nic is not dumb...I know she sensed something was off from the first visit to the Safe loft. Maybe this whole thing will blow over quicker than we thought and it's only Sami that is really struggling with this secret. Or watch...he probably is going to tell her what happened then he finds out that Sami is pregnant and that changes everything. Ugghhhh!

This makes me feel a little better. As long as it starts playing out on screen like this, I can deal.

That was really WTF for me too. It just didn't sound like Nicole and I hope to God they aren't planning on changing her character. I want the Nicole that responds to EJ's going after John for political purposes with a smile and 'I'm really impressed' If they change her character for plot purposes, that will piss me off more than anything. I'm not really feeling optimistic right now, but it does make me feel better to read everyone's thoughts here. I need to stay away from a certain board. I will say this, James and Ari sell the hell out of Ejole. I don't want to make assumptions of actor's thoughts, but it really seems like James is very pro Ejole with the way he plays things. Even during Ejole 2.0 when that wasn't the plan, he sure seemed like a man in love. If James was hesitant to sign because of this latest turn of events (not saying that was the reason) then I'm a little afraid of the next month, because he didn't sign until they were taping February right? Please writers make me wrong! I want a happy Ejole December.

I went back and watched the Ejole blizzard and these scenes back to back and am completely reassured that we're getting our Ejole everything -- with all the soapy bumps in the road, but it's all Ejole. I don't even think the hag is going to be pg...maybe we'll have her think she is because she'll miss her cycle due to stress, but she won't be but Nicki is.

Did anyone else think he went to the loft not only to see Johnny but because he wanted to make sure that he and skanky were on the same page. He brought Nicole to show without words where he stood in the matter. I also agree that it was to show that he is now going to see his kids whenever he likes and a simple plot drive. I maybe giving these writer more credit than they deserve.

Don't you dare say something stupid and fuck it up for me! There are more people involved than just me and you." Glad you saw it that way too.

LOL...omg someone on twitter pointed out that when smex is going on Sami has on black nail polish but by the time she gets home and is hugging Johnny her nail polish is light blue. Could this mean it is mood nail polish? Black means you are a cold, heartless bitch and light blue means you are a cold, heartless bitch who just cheated on your husband??? ROFL

Lol! That is funny and probably true. After watching the clips again and the JS's interview at DOD I do see that EJ does love Nicole, he is just trying to figure that out. And he does feel very guilty and regretful about what he just did. There's just no way it can be spun into love for the hag now or ever. I don't think he's ever going to go back to her. He loves Nicole, but I think this is going to be about how he screwed that up royally. I do REALLY hope he expresses his love for Nicole soon. I'm getting impatient. Lol!

Okay...today is a brand new day and I feel a little better. I was really pissed off last night after watching the day ahead...but now that I've had a good night's rest...I'm not as bothered by the scenes as I was yesterday. I'm still mad about the fact that EJ didn't tell Nicole that he loved her, and that he didn't really respond to her when she was pretty much giving him her heart on a silver platter. However, I had to remind myself that EJ is feeling guilty at this point, and there's probably not much he could say since he definitely wasn't expecting Nicole to give him another chance. Now, one thing I did like about today's episode was the fact that EJ didn't have any flashbacks, and I hope it stays that way!

I know, I feel the same way. I'm willing to give them a chance. I'm still not watching the whole show, but I will tune in for Ejole or watch the clips, but they better be good. I see EJ as being really conflicted, and not about Skanky but about hurting Nicole and being hurt again. I do think she is the only woman in his heart, and that's good, it's a start.
