How dumb is Jennifer to bring up Nicole's past when Abe played a big put in it?! Nicole should have said,"Sure I'll be happy to talk about how my father forced me to do porn and how our fine, upstanding Mayor Carver, had an affair with my mother when she was still married to my no good father at the time and even had a child with her, who our honorable first lady, Mrs.Carver, went on to have an affair with years later. You may qoute me". lol.

Could you just see the smirk coming off Abe's face (that bothered me the most in that scene, was how Abe just stood there all sanctimonious UGH).

Over the shoulder!!! So adorable. I think she tickled him. He's ticklish. And it's worked before. I, too, wanted to see loving in NYC! How hard is it to drag out the Paris hotel room-extra DiMera bedroom-scene and use THAT? They need to burn that couch. I'll go over there myself and spill bleach on it. I love all your comments about Jen, peeps. You all rock. I, too, loved the "she's so cute" line. Oh, Ari, you are the best. And truelove, I could kiss you for mentioning that about Abe sleeping with Nicole's mom! the writers are trying so hard to do their homework, but they miss some important stuff! And, uh, Jenn -- do your research, miss thang. Nicole has had a job. Wasn't she at Titan? Why does NO ONE remember that? she's not Sami. Nicole has actual work experience. Lexie's line about "you're just like your father" with Sami coming up at just that precise moment has me annoyed to the nth degree at where these writers are going (see baby pic thread)... But I just love Ari and James. They make this work, despite the thin writing. Sigh. They need to up and leave Salem for good. They're too good for this show.

None of these people should be sanctimonious about Nicole and her past when theirs is just as colourful. For someone who didn't have much say in her horrid upbringing I admire Nicole for rising about it all while EVERYBODY walks around pretending they walk on water and have hordes of sheep reinforcing this misconceived/preconceived idea that they are somehow better than her. They look down their noses at her as if to nullifies their own indiscretions. It reminds me of the story in the Bible about the religious man who thanks God he's not as sinful as a guy who beats himself up everyday because he knows he's a sinner.
Pod Jen is doing the same to her husband of 20 years. Painting his mistakes as worse and glossing over hers if we are lucky enough to have Jennifer acknowledge her mistakes. That's why I can't wait to see Nicole and Jack to share a scene and have them actually become friends.
They did have a begrudging respect for one another. It would be lovely for both these characters to have a support system when their worlds begins to fall apart because we all know it's coming, especially for Nicole.

Peachy that is so true about Nicole having work experience. I remember she was also real good at it. It's almost like these writers choose what is worth remembering and what isn't to further their crappy plots. Unfortunately the good history always ends up being ignored or discarded.

rpmaluki...thanks for the intel. "pod jen" nice! And nice Bible story reference. I dig it. Nicole and Jack as friends! That's awesome. Two of my fave characters/actors hanging out. Now if they could just invite Will and Sonny over for happy hour...I could be persuaded not to stop watching the show.

On a more serious note, I always thought that Abe should have had a soft spot for Nicole considering his history with her mother and that she's his son's half-sister. He should have been a father figure to her and watched out for her, treated her like family and defended her to people (including Lexie) because he above anyone else in that town knew her history. I also think that they missed the boat with Nicole and Stefano;to have Stefano not like Nicole is so wrong. If they wrote Stefano true to his character, he would have admired the hell out of the stuff that Nicole was able to pull off right underneath their noses and thought that she was the perfect match for EJ. I'll never forget when the whole babyswitch thing had been revealed and Nicole had skipped town with Sydney and EJ was trying to find them and Stefano predicted that it wouldn't be easy. He told EJ, "She has fought long and hard for that baby!" You could tell that he admired the fight that was always in Nicole, no matter what.

Like I said the writers CHOOSE to remember/forget history to sell storylines that don't make sense.

I never understood the 180 as far as Stefano and Nicole are concerned. I figured he would appreciate her fight and sneakiness!! She IS EJ's perfect match and makes one hell of a DiMera!!! I want Stefano to embrace her not throw her aside

I agree with you Jenjolt and truelove. I have NEVER understood any hostiltiy from Steffy to Nic. Nicole has the very same qualities that Steffy absolutely adores in his beloved Katerina. He should be thrilled that his son found a woman who is his equal in every way just like Kate is Stefano's equal in every way. The 4 of them need to work together to dominate Salem. They've already played around with the fact that Kate really does admire Nicole. Remember that Martini Breakfast they shared recently. I was loving those scenes. Plus when Kate was spending all that time with EJ and encouraging him to find a good woman, I always got the feeling that she was sort of nudging him back towards Nicole and helping to open his eyes and his heart to Nicole...although if he had asked Kate directly, she would have denied it at the time, but she was definitley doing it in that little way Kate has of getting you to do what she wants you to do. Hopefully Kate will be the one to open Steffy's eyes to the Dimera Dynasty they have under their roof!

I think the reason Stefano has a problem with Nicole is in the fact that EJ choke Stefano once he found out that Stefano helped Nicole. Somehow, I think Stefano feels that she came in between his relationship with his son..
